OnRoute Record
The app says there was an error submitting my recording.
When attempting to submit a route, the app may give you the following error message:
There was an error submitting your recording.
Check your internet connection and try again.
- Make sure the tablet is docked properly.
- Make sure the tablet has an internet connection (either 4G or Wi-Fi).
- In Ground Traffic Control, make sure the driver profile's Employee Number field is set. The change will take effect the next day.
If all of these are true but the route recording still does not successfully send, contact Zonar Support for further assistance.
OnRoute
The app is unable to connect to the internet.
On first opening the app to view the route selection screen, the app may give you the following error message:
Unable to connect to the Internet.
- Make sure the tablet is docked properly.
- Make sure the tablet has an internet connection (either 4G or Wi-Fi).
- In Ground Traffic Control, make sure the driver profile's Employee ID field is set.
If all of these are true but the route recording still does not successfully send, contact Zonar Support for further assistance.
The screen turns black when I'm driving and I can't see the route map!
This is intended behavior to limit distracted driving. You may only view the map while the vehicle is stationary. While driving, the app supplies audio turn-by-turn navigation cues.
I don't hear any navigation cues while I'm driving.
Check the following options:
- The volume may be too low. Adjust it by using the volume buttons on the tablet. When docked, they are accessible through the hole in the top support of the dock.
- You may also have muted the device using the setting in the pull-down menu on the tablet. Tap it to unmute the device.
- In Zonar Settings, Mute Audio When In Motion may be checked. Uncheck this to hear audio while in motion.
OnRoute crashes as soon as I try to load the app!
This may be caused when using the Import Route option to create a route in the web portal. If the first stop in the route does not have either a street address or latitude/longitude pair assigned, the app does not know where to start the route and will crash.
To fix this, edit the stop either in the import file and re-import it or in the web portal directly.
