How to Install a Camera
Find the Camera
From the Home Screen select INSTALL CAMERA.
Tap the Camera IMEI field and use the keypad to enter the last four digits of camera's IMEI.
Camera must be powered on and have a network connection in order to be found.
Once an IMEI match has been identified, a green checkmark will appear in the Camera IMEI field.
Select Done on the keypad and Coach will check if the camera has network connectivity.
When found, a green checkmark and Camera powered will populate under the Connectivity Info field.
Select Next.
Select the Asset
Tap the Asset ID or VIN field.
Use the keypad to enter either the Asset ID or VIN of the vehicle the camera was installed in.
The Asset ID or VIN must be entered starting with the first character. For example, entering the last 4 digits of the VIN will not work.
Select the asset profile when it populates under the Asset ID or VIN search bar.
The selection will populate VIN, Make and Model information associated with the asset's profile and the full camera IMEI will appear in the Camera Information field.
Select Pair camera to vehicle to start the pairing process.
A green PAIRING SUCCESSFUL sign will appear when the camera has been assigned to the asset.
Select Next.
Verify the Camera Alignment
Select Check alignment to open a live feed of the camera.
See the DashCam Installation Guide for guidance on how to verify the camera angle.
Select Next to confirm the camera angle.
Review the Installation Summary
The camera has now been assigned to the asset profile. Before concluding the camera installation process review the information presented on the Installation summary page.
If the camera, asset, and alignment information is correct scroll to the bottom of the menu and select Return to home.
The camera is now assigned to the asset.
How to Unpair a Camera from an Asset
The Installation Summary screen also allows users to unpair cameras from assets.
To access an asset's Installation Summary, from the Home screen select Asset + Camera List or tap the Assets icon to open the Asset list.
Asset tiles will populate in alphabetical order. Tap the Filters icon to sort the display or select the Asset ID or VIN search bar to manually enter the asset information.
Newly created asset profiles may need to be synced to the Zonar Coach Mobile app in order to appear. To trigger a sync, swipe down in the Asset + Camera List menu until the Refresh icon appears, release and then wait for the application to load the updated asset list.
Select an asset profile to open the vehicle's Installation Summary.
If the user installed the camera the Installation Summary can also be found by opening My Install History or tapping the My History icon.
Scroll to the bottom of the Installation Summary and select Unpair camera.
Select Confirm to finish unpairing the camera.
