The ZTrak location report displays the location of each ZTrak at the time of the last phone home, which is typically every 24 hours for this type of GPS device.
To access the Ztrak Location screen:
- On the main menu, click Reports, and then select ZTrak under the GPS Track & Trace.
- On the Ztrak Location screen, click the ZtrakLocation.
Note: Not all users have access to this report.
- In the top-right corner, click Filters, define the following criteria for narrowing your search results, and then click Apply:
Show All Assets/ Only Assets With Miles of By default, ShowAll Assets are returned. It is possible to return only assets within a specific radius of a specific address. Select ShowOnly Assets Within miles of, and then enter the distance and address. Attribute Filters Select a custom-defined attribute for narrowing your search results; for example, vehicle type, project site name, or region. Learn more about Admin Attributes. Attributes Select an custom attribute from the list. Learn more about Admin Attributes. Zone Filters Displays only assets in the selected zone.
- Click one of the following to toggle the results view:
- Map—By default, the results appear in the Map view. This view provides all the information for each ZTrak on the left and their location(s) on the map to the right. For help with maps, read the Map Overview topic.
Sort By default, the location results list is sorted by Asset Number. Expand the dropdown menu and select Position Date to resort the data by date. Location Results Displays each ZTrak asset. Click a Location Result in the list to highlight the asset on the map and display its information. This includes the additional Reported Date and links to view this specific asset in list view or view the related asset history. Each Location Results item includes the following information:
Asset No.—Identification number assigned to this asset.
Address—The last known address for the asset.
Out of Coverage—If an asset was able to record its GPS point, but unable to phone home at that time, it will display as Out of Coverage. This information is then included in a later phone home, when the asset regained cellular coverage.
Position Date—The last date and time the asset established a GPS lock.
Tip: If there are more assets than displayable, at the bottom of the list use the navigation buttons to page through the list.
a. In the top-right corner of the map view, expand the map type dropdown menu and select a map type from the list. Bing offers the following map types:
Road—This view is a graphical based layout, which includes boundaries, roads, labels, etc.
Aerial—This view will render a satellite image for the area being viewed.
Bird’s eye—This view displays aerial imagery captured from low-flying aircraft. Unlike the top-down aerial view captured by satellite, Bird’s-eye images are taken at an oblique, 45-degree angle. They show the sides of building, not just the rooftops and give better depth perception for the geography. Some features, such as GPS Zones are displayed in this map type. Bird’s eye view is not available in all map reports.
Streetside—This is an optional view and displays photos of the location at eye-level.
b. Slide the Labels toggle to view/hide map labels such as street names.
Tools On/Off Click to toggle the display of tools you can use to set bookmarks on the map, load bookmark, set a home location on the map, and zoom in/out on a location.
Weather On/Off Click to toggle the display of current NEXRAD weather data. NEXRAD detects precipitation and atmospheric movement or wind. The data shows patterns of precipitation and movement. Traffic On/Off Click to toggle the display of current traffic conditions as an overlay to the roads. Zones On/Off Click to toggle the display of zone boundaries on the map. Location Pins
a. On the map, click a location pin to view the Asset Information popup menu displaying the following:
Asset No—Displays the asset number that was selected for the generated report.
Address—Displays the last known address for the asset. · Position date— The last date and time the asset established a GPS lock.
Reported date—The date and time the ZTrak phoned home with location information.
b. Click View in List to change the results table to List view, or click View asset history to view all past location information for this asset on the History tab.
- List—Displays all the same data except the location of the asset on a map. Review the following example of the list view:
Asset No. The asset number of the reported asset. Position Date Displays the last date and time the asset established a GPS lock. Reported Date Displays the date and time the ZTrak phoned home with location information. Address Displays the last known address for the asset.
Note: Out of Coverage indicates that the asset was able to record its position, but unable to send the location when it attempted to phone home. This information is then included in a later phone home, when the asset regained cellular coverage.
Zone If the asset’s location resides inside a zone, then that zone name is displayed. Options Click to view the asset’s location on a map. Click to view the asset’s historical data.
