The MyView office application is used to manage the bus routes and vehicles that are tracked by parents in Zonar MyView. Additionally, it allows a dispatcher to reassign buses and message parents of changes or delays to a route.
Log in
- In Ground Traffic Control, select MyView from the Rider Tracking section of the main menu.
- Enter your User Name and Password.
- Click Sign-In.
Your role determines which functionality you can access.

Admin
A user with Admin permission can add users to the system, authorize user permissions, and assign them to locations (for example, a school within a school district).
Manage Users
Select "Admin" then "Manage Users" from the main menu. A list of users appears. From this list you can add or delete users, or change permissions or location assignments for users.
In addition to user profile information, the date and time the user last accessed the system is listed.

On the Manage Users page, you can add a user by clicking the button above the user list.
In the "Add User" dialogue box:
- Enter the user's name and email address.
- Enter a User Name. This will be used to log in to the system. The User Name can be an employee name, ID number, or any unique name.
- Optionally, you can enter a phone number, title, and the name of the department in which the employee works.
- In the Authorization section, click the checkbox for either "Dispatcher" or "User admin" to define the user's role.

- Click the Locations tab in the Authorization section. Click the checkbox for the location associated with the user (this is likely a school name). A user can be associated with more than one location.
- Click Save.
Edit/Delete User
To edit user information:
- Click the edit button
next to the user's name.
- In the "Edit User" dialogue box, change or add information or authorization.
- Click Save.
To delete a user:
- Click the delete button
next to the user's name.
- In the "Delete User" dialogue box, click Delete.
Operations
Bus Re-Assignments
When it is necessary to substitute a bus on a route (key), parent notifications are sent through the Daily Dispatch page. Re-assignments are temporary and apply only to the date selected.
The re-assignment is only for the date selected. If you want to make a permanent change of vehicles for the route, it is necessary to re-map the vehicle to the key in the Set-Up section.
- From the Main menu, click Operations then Bus Re-Assignments.
- The Daily Dispatch page lists the vehicles and planned routes for the date listed.
Click the Edit buttonfor the scheduled vehicle that you want to re-assign.
- In the drop-down menu that appears in the "Vehicle No. (Actual)" column, select the new vehicle for the route.
- If the vehicle is assigned to more than one key for the day, the "Keys Covered" dialog appears. Select the new vehicle for the key or keys.
- Click Save. The parents who are following those vehicles are notified of the change via the MyView app.
Messaging
Messages are helpful to notify parents of route delays, inclement weather, or even personal items left on a bus. Messages can be sent to parents or guardians of individual students, all those who follow a specific bus or key, or all those associated with a school.
To send a message:
- From the Main menu, select Operations, then Messaging.
- Select the recipients for the message.
- Bus: Enter the bus number and select the direction of the bus (either To or From school). Click on the vehicle from the list of vehicles, or click the "Select All" checkbox to send a message for followers of all buses. Click Add.
- Key: Enter the key number and select the direction of the key (either To or From school). Click on the key from the list of keys, or click the "Select All" checkbox to send a message for followers of all keys. Click Add.
- School: Enter the school name and click on the school name from the list, or click the "Select All checkbox to send a message to all followers of that school. Click Add.
- Student: Enter the last name of a student whose parent or guardian you want to message. School and grade can be selected from the drop-down menus to filter names. Click on the student(s) names from the list of student names, or click the "Select All" checkbox to send a message to all names on the list. Click Add.
- Type a message in the "Notifications message" field. Include specific information for the parent or guardians.
- Select a date from the "Expiration Date" field. This is the date on which your message will be removed from the MyView app.
- Click Send to send the message to those people you chose.
Set-Up
The Set-Up section is where you manage all the elements of MyView. You can enter or edit all information about schools, students, vehicles, and routes individually or by using bulk upload.
Schools
School information is used to associate to vehicles and students. School information includes the district to which the school belongs, the school code, and start/stop times for the school. When entering this information you can create a zone around the school on a map. That zone can be used by users of the MyView app to track when a vehicle is leaving or arriving at the school.
Add a School
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP, then Schools.
- Click the
button.
- In the school information page, enter the required information:
- Customer Name: This is typically the name of the school district.
- School Name: Enter the name of school to be added. Click Locate to search for the school location information. If the school is located, map and address information is added. Check that the information is accurate.
- School Code: This is the unique identifier code used by the school district.
- Address: The address is the given street address for the school building.
- Bell Time: Enter the Start and End times for the school day.
- Adjust the Zone around the school location as indicated in red. The zone will allow alerts to be sent to users when a vehicle enters or exits the zone. You may want to make the radius larger if buses load and unload some distance away from the school building.
You can create a circular zone (default) or draw a polygon shape over the area around the school.Circular Fence
- Click the Circular Fence radio button.
- Click Update.
- Enter a new radius (in feet) in the Radius field, or adjust it by pulling the tabs on the zone circle.
- Click Done.
Polygon Fence
- Click the Polygon Fence radio button.
- Click Draw.
- Pull the tabs on the polygon shape to create a custom zone. If you need to start over, click the Reset button.
- Click Done.
- If the zone created is the same for both pick-up and drop-off times, click the "Both" radio button. If the zones are different, select the corresponding time and adjust the zone shape/radius on the map. Click Done.
- When all required information is entered, click Save.
Importing Schools
Multiple schools can be imported via a .csv file to save some time.
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP, then Schools.
- Click the Import Schools
button.
- In the dialog box that appears, select the school district name from the "Customer Name" pull-down menu.
- Click Select files... to browse for the .csv file containing school information. The .csv file must contain the following columns to properly import the information:
- Customer Name
- School
- School Code
- City
- Start Time
- End Time
Edit a School
Should you need to change information about a school, or change the zone set around the school, you can edit that information from the Manage Schools list.
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP then Schools.
- Find the school from the list of schools by searching or filtering the list.
- If managing multiple school districts, select the school district from the "Select customer" pull-down menu.
- Search by city or school name in the search fields.
- Click the column title headings to sort the columns.
- Click the
button to search by bell time or school status (Active, Inactive, Deleted). Click Submit to apply the search criteria.
- Click the Details
button to view current information about the school.
- Click the Edit
button to open the school information page for editing. Change any of the editable fields or the zone shape and size.
- Click Save.
To delete a school from the list, click the Delete button for that school. Deleting a school disrupts any associations with the school including keys (routes) and pick-up and drop-off times for vehicles.
Vehicles
Vehicle information includes information about Vehicle so you can make informed decisions about where to assign the vehicle. Vehicles must be entered into the system in order to be assigned to a route. Vehicles can be bulk imported.
Add a Vehicle
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP then Vehicles.
- Click the
button.
- In the Add Vehicle dialog box, enter the required information.
- Vehicle Number (Required): This is typically a bus number that is not the VIN.
- External System ID: Unique identifier used by the external maint system.
- VIN: The unique identifier associated with that vehicle.
- Year, Make, Model, Vehicle Type: Manufacturing characteristics of the vehicle.
- Walk-on Capacity, Wheel-chair Capacity: Number of seats available on the vehicle.
- Brake type, A/C, Fuel type: Additional vehicle information.
- GPS Provider: Select the provider used by the school or district.
- Click Save.
Importing Vehicles
Multiple vehicles can be imported by .csv file to save some time.
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP then Vehicles.
- Click the
button.
- In the dialog box that appears, select the GPS provider (Vendor) used for the vehicles to be imported.
- Click Select files... to browse for the .csv file containing vehicle information. The .csv file must contain the following columns to properly import the information:

Edit a Vehicle
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP then Vehicles.
- Find the vehicle from the list of vehicles by searching or filtering the list.
- Search by vehicle number in the search field.
- Click the column title headings to sort the columns.
- Click the
button to search by vehicle status (Active, Deleted). Click Submit to apply the search criteria.
- Click the Edit
button to open the vehicle information dialog box for editing. Change any of the editable fields.
- Click Save.
Students
Student information is used to associate a student with a bus and to verify that a MyView user is able to view that student's information. Required student information comprises of the student name, their student ID, their school name, and grade.
Add a Student
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP then Students.
- Click the
button.
- Enter student information in the blank fields.
- First Name, Last Name: The name of the student as it appears in school records.
- Student ID: The unique identifier issued to the student by the school.
- Grade: The grade level that the student is currently enrolled.
- School Year: The current school year in which the student is enrolled.
- Click the Save
button to add the student.
Importing Students
Multiple students can be imported via a .csv file to save some time.
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP, then Students.
- Click the Import Schools
button.
- In the dialog box that appears, click Select files... to browse for the .csv file containing student information. The .csv file must contain the following columns to properly import the information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Student ID
- School
- Grade
- School Year

- From the Main menu, select SET-UP, then Students.
- Find a student or students from the list of students by searching or filtering the list.
- Search by student name in the search box.
- Select the Student ID from the pull-down menu.
- Select a list of students from the School pull-down menu.
- Sort the column headers of the list.
- Click the
button to search by student status. Click Submit to apply the search criteria.
- Click the Edit
button to open the vehicle information dialog box for editing. Change any of the editable fields.
- Click Save.
Keys
Keys define basic information for a route. These are basic identifiers for the the route name, direction or time of the route, and the days of the week on which the route runs.
Add a Key
- From the Main menu, click SET-UP, then Keys.
- Enter Key information in the blank fields on the screen.
- Key ID: This is the "name" of the route. If a route has both an AM and PM run, add "AM" or "PM" to the route name.
- To School/From School: Select either "To-School" or "From-School" from the drop-down menu.
- Frequency days: Select the days of the week on which the route runs.
- Status: Automatically entered as "ACTIVE" when creating a new Key.
- Click the Save
button to add the key.
Importing Keys

- From the Main menu, click SET-UP, then Keys.
- Click the
button.
- n the dialog box that appears, click Select files... to browse for the .csv file containing key information. The .csv file must contain the following columns to properly import the information:
- Key ID
- To School/From School
- Frequency days

- Find a key or keys from the list of students by searching or filtering the list.
- Search by key name in the Key ID search box.
- Sort the column headers of the list.
- Click the
button to search by Frequency days. Click Submit to apply the search criteria.

button to open the vehicle information dialog box for editing. Change any of the editable fields.
- Click the Save
button to save the changes.
Vehicles > Keys Mapping
Mapping vehicles to Keys is important to communicate the location of the vehicle to the parent via MyView.
Add Mapping
Associate a vehicle with the routes that it runs by adding mapping.
Vehicles and Keys must already be in the system in order to associate one with the other.
- From the Main menu, click SET-UP, then Vehicle->Keys Mapping.
- Click the
button.
- Enter appropriate information in the blank fields on the screen:
- Vehicle No.: Select the vehicle you want to map from the pull-down menu.
- To School Keys: Select the keys you want to associate with the selected vehicle. These keys are those that drop riders off at the school. You can select multiple keys and you can associate a key with more than one vehicle.
- From School Keys: Select the keys you want to associate with the selected vehicle. These keys are those that pick riders up at the school. You can select multiple keys and you can associate a key with more than one vehicle.
- Click the Save
button to associate the key(s) with a vehicle.
The Frequency days column and Status column are automatically populated based on Key information.
Edit Mapping
Change which Key is associated to a vehicle.
- From the Main menu, select SET-UP, then Vehicle->Keys Mapping.
- Find a key or a vehicle from the list of mapped vehicles by searching or filtering the list.
- Search by key name in the Key ID search box.
- Search by selecting a vehicle from the drop-down field.
- Sort the column headers of the list.
- Click the
button to search by Parent or guardian associated with the vehicles or keys. Click Submit to apply the search criteria.
- Click the Edit
button to open the vehicle information dialog box for editing. Change any of the editable fields.
- Click the Save
button to save the changes.
Support
The Support section contains the Support Assistant. The Support Assistant allows you to assist parents with their MyView questions about students, routes, and alerts. Only parents can make edits to this information.
Access Code
Share Access Code with users.
- From the Main menu, select SUPPORT, then Support Assistant.
- Confirm that the correct Customer and Location are selected from the drop-down menus.
- The Access Code is displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Account Information
Retrieve user information for parents.
- From the Main menu, select SUPPORT, then Support Assistant.
- Confirm that the correct Customer and Location are selected from the drop-down menus.
- Enter any of the filter criteria in any of the open fields.
- Parent Name: The name of the primary parent or guardian on the account.
- Parent Email: The email address of the primary parent or guardian on the account.
- Student Name: The Student name as entered into the system.
- Student ID: The identification number provided to students by the school.
- Click Submit.
- The search results appear in the list below and can be sorted by clicking the column headers. This view provides basic information about the parent account:
- Parent Name: The name of the primary parent or guardian on the account.
- User ID: The email address of the primary parent or guardian on the account.
- Students: All students associated with the parent on this account.
- Member Since: The date that the MyView account was created.
- The Action column of the list contains two buttons:
- View/Edit
: Click to view User Info, Notification Settings, and Notification History.
- Deactivate
: Click to deactivate the user account and remove all records.
This cannot be undone. Once deactivated, a parent must re-register in the Zonar MyView app.
- View/Edit
Account Detail
The Account Detail page displays all information and settings for an account. Only parents can make edits to this information.
- From the Main menu, select SUPPORT, then Support Assistant.
- Confirm that the correct Customer and Location are selected from the drop-down menus.
- Search for an account by entering search criteria in any of the Filter Criteria fields. Click Submit.
- Click the View/Edit
button next to the parent account to open.
User Info
The User Info tab on the Account Detail page displays:
- User name: The parent or guardian name associated with the account.
- Email address: The email address of the parent.
- Device ID: An encrypted string used to identify the primary device using the Zonar MyView app for this account.
- Member since: The date on which the account was registered.
- Push Notification: User preference for messaging and alerts.
Confirm this information with the parent or guardian when troubleshooting.
Notification Settings
The Notifications Settings section comprises the Zones that were created by the user and the zones associated to the Schools that the user is subscribed.
The Zones section displays all zones created by the user. You can review information with the parent or guardian to direct them to make changes.
- Zone: The name of the zone created by the parent or guardian.
- Key: The route associated with the bus selected by the parent or guardian for this notification zone.
- Radius (feet): The distance from the center of the zone to the outer edge of the zone.
- Active From/Active Until: The start and stop time during which the notifications will alert the user.
- Notification: Indicates whether the user will be alerted when the assigned bus enters the zone.
- Days of the week: The days of the on which the notification will notify the parent or guardian.
- Last Updated: The last date and time that the tracking information was relayed to the MyView system.
- Action: Click on the Locate
button for an individual Zone to review details (including a map view) of that zone.
The Schools section displays all school zones and routes associated with a student.
- Student name: The name of the student(s) associated with the parent or guardian.
- Key: The route associated with the bus selected by the parent or guardian for this school zone.
- School: The name of the school of which the student is associated.
- Notification: Indicates whether the user will be alerted when the assigned bus enters the zone.
- School start/end time: The start or end time associated with the Key.
- Action: Click on the Locate
button for an individual to review details (including a map view) of that zone.
Locate
When the Locate button in the Zones or Schools sections is clicked, a pop-up window opens. This window displays the key name and days and times on which the notification is active. A map indicates the scope of the alert with a red circle.
Notifications are triggered when the bus enters the alert zone (the red circle). If parents are not being notified soon enough that a bus is approaching, advise them to increase the radius of the alert zone.
Notification History
The Notification History tab displays a log of all times that a notification was triggered and the parent or guardian notified.
- Date/Time: The date and time that a notification was sent.
- School/Zone: The name of the school and route associated with the notification.
- Location Name: The name of the Alert Zone created by the parent or guardian.
- Notification Type: Indicates the nature of the alert notification.
Reports
The Reports tab contains data insights about the MyView users on your account.
Usage Metrics
Currently, only the Usage Metrics report is available in the Reports section.
This report provides an at-a-glance view of the number of MyView accounts looking at a specific school, the number of students represented, and the number of messages that were sent out to parents and guardians.
The number of buses actively being tracked is also displayed at the bottom of the report.
- From the Main menu, select REPORTS.
- Click Usage Metrics in the Dashboard column.
- Select the School or District to view from the "Customer" pull-down menu.
