How do I know which serial numbers I have?
There are two easy methods to verify serial numbers.
Check the physical box
Each GPS unit has its serial number printed on the back. If you are verifying individual units on site, this may be the quickest method.
Check Ground Traffic Control
The GPS Units report in Ground Traffic Control is the best method of reviewing the serial numbers for the entire fleet.
From the main menu in Ground Traffic Control, go to Reports at the top, then in the GPS Track & Trace column, click GPS Units.
Make sure the Assigned filter is set to Show All Units. There may be unassigned GPS units that are nevertheless being counted among your active devices.
The GPS ID column lists the serial number of each GPS unit in your account.
The Device Type column lists the type of unit. This may be easier to read, but some serial numbers may display as UNKNOWN under Device Type. GPS ID is the surest method of identifying 3G units.
You can export the fleet list to Excel by clicking the Export button in the upper left, which allows you to easily sort and print the list as needed.
