ZTrak AT22 units are displayed in Ground Traffic Control Maps alongside standard TCU-tracked assets. As ZTrak units do not communicate continuously as other Zonar TCUs do, there are some differences in Maps when viewing a ZTrak unit. This article describes what you can expect to see when looking at a ZTrak unit in Maps compared to a standard TCU asset.
Asset Details
The asset details for a ZTrak unit are largely similar, except that most of the asset fields will be blank as it is not integrated with a vehicle ECM.
ZTrak units also have one additional field:
-
GPS Battery Life: Provides a quick glance at the battery level on the AT22. This field can have one of three values:
- Good: The battery life is healthy.
- Low: The battery should be recharged or replaced soon.
- Critically Low: The battery will fail if not replaced immediately.
Asset History
Because ZTrak units send single GPS points only a few times per day, the Asset History view shows these individual events instead of presenting a continuous path.
By default, all events are shown in a list on the left side, with the corresponding points shown on the map on the right. Hovering your cursor over a point on the map (or tapping it on mobile) will display the following information about the event:
- Date and Time
- Address
- Battery Life
Selecting an event from the list on the left will zoom into that event's location on the map, as well as displaying the time above the point.
