The Threshold Settings page allows you to fine-tune the levels at which Ground Traffic Control alerts you to potential issues with your fleet. Zonar provides default settings, and if you are happy with those you do not need to adjust anything on this page, but if you find you're getting unnecessary alerts or you aren't getting enough alerts, this is where you can adjust them.
Performance
State of Charge (Electric Vehicles)
State of Charge events occur when an electric vehicle's charge goes below a set percentage.
Use Zonar default settings: Defaults are provided. Uncheck this box to make changes to the settings.
Critical
- Create a critical event when state of charge goes below X%
- Defaults to 20%
Minor
- Create a minor event when state of charge goes below X%
- Defaults to 30%
Posted Speed
Posted Speed events occur when a vehicle exceeds the known posted speed limit.
Use Zonar default settings: Defaults are provided. Uncheck this box to make changes to the settings.
Critical
- Create a critical alert when an asset has exceeded the posted speed limit by X mph for the defined duration
- Defaults to 10 mph
Minor
- Create a minor alert when an asset has exceeded the posted speed limit by X mph for the defined duration
- Defaults to 5 mph
Duration
- A speeding event is created when speed exceeds either threshold for X seconds or longer
- Defaults to 30 seconds
Vehicle Idling
Idling events occur when a vehicle has been idling beyond the idle threshold.
Use Zonar default settings: Defaults are provided. Uncheck this box to make changes to the settings.
Critical
- Create a critical event when idle goes above X minutes
- Defaults to 15 minutes
Maintenance
Vehicle Battery
Vehicle Battery events occur when Zonar detects low battery voltage on your vehicle.
Use Zonar default settings: Defaults are provided. Uncheck this box to make changes to the settings.
Critical
- Create a critical event when voltage is below X volts
- Default is 11.5 volts
Minor
- Create a minor event when voltage is below X volts
- Default is 11.75 volts
Engine Fault
Engine Fault events occur when one or more diagnostic trouble code events trigger.
As this alert is based on direct fault codes from the vehicle, no adjustment can be made. This section is provided for reference.
Critical
- Create a critical event when Check Engine lights up
Minor
- Create a minor event when the Check Engine lights and Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) light up
