Asset Profile

Overview

The Asset Profile is a detailed look at an individual asset. Where our other reports give you a broad view of your fleet, Asset Profile drills down to a single asset to provide comprehensive information. This article explains how to view the asset profile and what information you'll find.

Accessing Asset Profile

The Asset Profile is visible on any report that offers an asset list. Each asset name is clickable and has an info icon icon-info.png beside it.

Two options are available:

  • Clicking the info icon icon-info.png brings up a pop-up window providing vital information about that asset. You can then navigate to the detailed asset profile from this pop-up if desired.
  • Clicking the asset name takes you directly to the detailed asset profile.

Asset Details

This section displays information retrieved either from the asset directly or from the asset entry in Manage Assets.

  • VIN: If the asset is reporting its VIN to Zonar, it is displayed here. Otherwise, if a VIN is manually entered in Manage Assets, it is displayed here instead.
  • Home Location: Displays the asset's home location.
  • License Plate: Displays the asset's license plate if one is assigned.
  • EXSID: Displays the asset's external identifier used for third-party integration if one is assigned.
  • GPS ID: Displays the TCU serial number (GPS unit ID) assigned to the asset.

Asset Properties

This section displays any available information derived from the VIN using the NHTSA VIN Decoder tool. Some VINs may not be able to provide all listed fields.

  1. Back to previous page: Click to return to the report you were originally one when you navigated to the asset profile.
  2. Asset name: Displays the asset name as assigned in Manage Assets. If the asset has a reported VIN, the year, make, and model are also displayed here.
  3. Asset details: Displays information retrieved either from the asset directly or from the asset entry in Manage Assets. This section is identical to the report pop-up window.
  4. Maintenance: Displays a count of identified critical and minor issues with the asset reported in the last 24 hours. Click Maintenance to navigate to the Maintenance report for detailed information on these issues.
  5. Alerts: Displays all alerts for the asset matching the specified filters.
    1. Status: Select Open, Closed, or both. Defaults to open alerts only.
    2. Severity: Select Critical, Minor, or both. Defaults to both types.

Asset Details

  • VIN: If the asset is reporting its VIN to Zonar, it is displayed here. Otherwise, if a VIN is manually entered in Manage Assets, it is displayed here instead.
