The Power Y-Splitter (PN 81772) is an adapter cable that splits the male 4-pin plug of a V4 installation harness; allowing it to power both the V4 and another compatible device.
How to Install the Power Y-Splitter Cable:
- Connect the male 4-pin plug of the install harness into the female 4-pin adapter of the Power Y-Splitter cable.
- Connect the short tail male 4-pin plug of Power Y-Splitter into the V4.
- Connect the long tail male 4-pin plug into a compatible device or cable.
Best Practices
To ensure power stability of both the V4 and the connected device only use one Power Y-Splitter cable in a vehicle installation. Connecting multiple Power Y-Splitter cables together runs the risk of drawing too much power from the vehicle's engine and overloading the wiring circuit.
The Power Y-Splitter cable is currently compatible with FF22 and DF22 dashboard cameras. Do not use the Power Y-Splitter cable with any other devices.
