Understanding the FieldSync workflow helps ensure smooth task navigation, efficiency, and fewer errors. It's the foundation for a well-oiled machine, whether working individually or as part of a team.
The FieldSync workflow generally follows two paths: Estimate and Non-Estimate.
In the Estimate workflow, prioritizing Customer approval adds a couple of extra steps. Instead of jumping right into a Work Request, the system first creates an Estimate outlining the project scope and cost. This estimate gets sent to the Customer for their sign-off before converting it into a formal Work Request.
Not all customers require an Estimate. Some prefer to have the Work Request scheduled directly, a Non-Estimate workflow. In this scenario the steps of scheduling and approving an Estimate are eliminated from the workflow, as illustrated below:
While both workflows aim for a smooth process, there can be situations that require adjustments. A Customer may need to reject an initial Estimate for revisions, or a scheduled Work Request might be subject to cancellation or rescheduling. Utilize the full potential of FieldSync by staying flexible.
