Log In

Your login information will be provided by your Implementation Project Manager.

To access:	Ground Traffic Control
To log in:	Type in your email address and the password that you set up or that was provided to you. Click Log In. Type in your Account Code. Click Continue to get to the Ground Traffic Control home page. This page will be displayed every time that you log in.

Manage Menu

The Manage menu in GTC lets you set up your account, add new users, and add new vehicles. This menu has 4 columns: Assets (vehicles), Drivers (add/remove drivers), Monitor (notifications based on vehicle activity), and System Settings (general items such as Users, Locations or Zones for geo-fences). GTC users are defined by roles that allow access to different areas. Locations in GTC are useful for companies with multiple departments under the same area, or with different groups. Add any number of locations to individual users and individual assets.

Manage Users

To access:	From the main menu, click Manage. Go to System Settings. Click Users.
To add user:	Click Add a User. Type in the Login Information (required for every user). Select a Role under Ground Traffic Control Settings. This lets a user access different parts of GTC. Admin has access to everything (for management staff) Mech (mechanic) has access to diagnostic reports so they can see engine codes to better repair/maintain vehicles for the fleet –they can pull in inspections, look at defects from EVIR, view defects, etc. OMI has access to GTC data for use in other software—for example, they can pull all inspections that are being performed electronically and add them to a maintenance program. User has access to view or run the reports in GTC, for example to see where a vehicle went on a certain day, but has limited admin permission. Dispatcher—Custom role Select a Location (required) and set a User Location Filter (optional). Select an Attribute Filter (optional)—to determine what the user will be allowed to view in reports. Select the display count (number of items per page to display in GTC reports, up to 500). Select the time zone in which the user’s reports will be displayed. Click Add to add the new user to your account.
To edit user:	To remove a user from your account (someone who does not need to access GTC): From the list of available users, click edit. Under Ground Traffic Control Settings, Click No for Active. Click Update User.

Manage Locations

Locations in GTC are useful for companies with multiple departments under the same area, or with different groups. This provides a filter that you can use to view assets that you want to see, not necessarily all of your assets. Add any number of locations to individual users and individual assets. Filter vehicles to individual users and vehicles. Or, divide your fleet into different aspects—for example, associate all transportation vehicles with a transportation filter so that all users with the transportation filter selected—will only see those vehicles.

To access:	From the main menu click Manage. Go to System Settings. Click Locations.
To add location:	Click Add a Location. Type in the Name (required for every user). Click Yes for Active. Optional. Select the Driver Time Zone (only for tablets)—defines the clock on tablet. Optional. Type in the Location Address. Click Add to add the new location to your account.
To edit location:	From the list of available locations, click edit. Rename the location filter, Click Yes or No to change it from Active or Inactive, choose the Driver Time Zone, etc. Click Update.

Manage ZAlerts

One of the highly-used items in GTC is Alerting Management (ZAlerts)—under Monitor. This allows you to get notifications based on vehicle activity such as battery notifications, speeding notify, idling too long, etc. The alerts are very configurable—you can generate notifications based on specific events and problems as they occur, helping improve driver safety and fleet reliability. You can configure Alerts to track driver and asset activity. When alerts occur, ZAlerts will generate pop-up messages in Ground Traffic Control as well as an email and/or SMS to a configurable list of contacts. To access ZAlerts, from the main menu Click Manage, and under Monitor, select ZAlerts. To add a new ZAlert configuration, click on the New Config button on the right hand side. This will bring up the Alert Wizard to guide you through the creation of a new configuration.

Reports

The Reports menu in GTC has exception based reports to help you quickly improve driver performance, asset utilization, communication, compliance and safety. Schedule reports to run automatically, or create regular subscriptions for multiple users  The Reports menu has 5 columns: GPS Track and Trace, EVIR Inspection, Fuel, Diagnostics and Usage, Zonar Logs, and Custom Reports. Every report has filters that are required to run the report and reveal the metrics that matter most to you. For equipment, asset, and installation issues run the GPS Units report to troubleshoot. Or run the GPS Unit Health report to quickly identify units that require attention. To see color-coded path data displayed on a map for up to 5 assets, run the Path report. Or run the Location report to view the current location of a fleet’s assets.

To access:	From the main menu click Reports. Go to GPS Track and Trace. Click on one of the reports from the list.
Activity	Generate a summary of asset activity. Used to detect vehicles moving after hours or on weekends.
Audit	Generate detailed travel details for a single asset (itinerary style view).
GPS Units	Troubleshoot equipment, asset, and installation issues with a global view of an entire fleet.
GPS Unit Health	Generate in-depth information on GPS Units and their functionality. Set thresholds to quickly identify units that require attention.
Idle Time	View where and when vehicles are idling excessively.
Location	View the current location of a fleet’s assets.
Mileage	View mileage for a specific time frame.
Mileage by State	View mileage for a specific time frame and by state for IFTA reporting.
Odometer	View the asset’s odometer value.
Overlap Path	Detect any overlaps and inefficiencies in routes.
Path	View a historical bread crumb trail of your assets path data.
Schedule	Detailed travel data for multiple assets and monitoring of specific zone entries and exits.
Speed	Monitor the speed of an asset.
Posted Speed	Ensure that vehicles and drivers are not exceeding posted speed limits
Stop Time	Identify when your vehicles’ engines were turned off, indicating a stop.

Other reports are available in GTC for EVIR Inspection, Fuel, Diagnostics and Usage, and Zonar Logs. GTC also has some custom reports. Every report has Filters required. You must apply report filters to run the report.  

To apply an initial filter:

Click Filter in the top-right corner Click to select the filter you want. You can choose a saved filter or select your own filter settings. After selecting or setting the filter, click Apply to view the report.
