The ZFuel Admin page enables you to customize the thresholds and calculations used in the ZFuel report data. Update these parameters carefully, to ensure fairness in the reported data, and be sure to update the factors across the ENTIRE fleet or sub-section of the fleet.
This report is not used for electric vehicles.
When updating parameters, it is important to note that concluded trips are NOT reprocessed; therefore, will display efficiency data based on the previous settings. Only FUTURE trips will be calculated using these new parameters.
- To access the ZFuel Admin screen, from the main menu, select Manage, and then click ZFuel under the Assets section.
- In the top-left corner, click Filters, define the following criteria for narrowing your search results, and then click Apply:
Location Select a location associated with the ZFuel data for which you want to search. Attribute Filters Custom filters that are created to combine multiple Attributes. Asset Status Search Active Only, Inactive Only, or for Both Active and Inactive assets. Select Attributes Custom filters that are created to filter assets based on a common vehicle type. Filters are a good way to narrow numerous results of assets, so you can update parameters; for example, assets in a specific state have a higher Idle max. value.
- If you know the asset number, then enter it in the Search Asset No text box and click Search .
- Account defaults apply to newly created assets ONLY. Ensure these defaults are set PRIOR to setting up an asset with ZFuel. Updating the default parameters does NOT affect existing assets with ZFuel applied.
Updating account defaults will NOT affect existing assets; they are only applied to new assets set up for ZFuel.
Click Set Account Defaults, on the Set Account Defaults popup window, define the following to update the account’s default parameters, and then click Save:
Transmission Type This feature is currently not available. Rear Axle The gear ratio of the asset. This is used for determining the Top Gear percentage, and this value must be greater than or equal to one. RPM Min The lowest RPM for the asset’s SweetZone, and this value must be greater than or equal to one. RPM Max The highest RPM for the asset’s SweetZone, and this value must be greater than or equal to one. Cruise Min This determines the lowest speed at which cruise control should be used. Any speed faster than this minimum is factored into the cruise usage percentage. This value must be greater than or equal to 55 miles-per-hour. Overspeed Threshold Considered to be the speed at which Speeding begins, and this value must be greater than or equal to 55 miles-per-hour. Idle Threshold The duration of time, in seconds, that idling should not exceed, and this value must be greater than or equal to zero. Idle Burn Rate The number of gallons or liters burned per hour while idling, and this value must be greater than or equal to zero. The idle burn rate unit of measure is configured when ZFuel is enabled. If you would like to confirm which unit of measure for which your account is configured, contact Customer Care.
- To update each parameter for selected asset(s), click the check box(es) next to asset(s) in the table, click Set Asset Variables, on the Set Asset Variables popup window, define the following attributes, and then click Save:
To select all visible assets in the table, click the check box in the column header row.
