The Speed report is used to view one or all assets’ speeding events based on specific filtering. The results table and map display those assets meeting the filter criteria, and the associated speeding events.
A benefit of this report is that it can help you resolve speeding complaints.
- To access the Speed report, on the main menu click Reports, under GPS Track & Trace, select Speed. Speed events will appear in the search results table as well as on the map. Learn more about using maps in GTC.
- To filter your search results, click Filter, complete the following criteria to narrow your results, and then click Generate Report:
Asset No.: To display speed events for a specific asset, expand the dropdown menu and select an asset from the list.
Zone Filter: To display speed events for assets in a specific zone, expand the Zone Filter and select a zone from the list.
Date Range: To display speed events that occurred during a specific time frame, define the Date Range From and To dates.
Speed Filter: Min Speed To define the minimum MPH for a speed event for which you want to search, enter a value in miles per hour. For example, set this value to a speed that you want reported on; assets traveling less than this number will not appear in your search results.
Attribute Filter: Expand the dropdown list and select a custom-defined group from the list to further filter this speed event.
Select Attribute: Expand the dropdown list and select a custom-defined parameter from the list to further filter this speed event.
- The results table displays all speed events that match your defined search criteria. Do the following to view more about your search results:
Asset No.: Displays the asset number that had the speed event. In the results table, click info to display the available information for the asset.
Subtype: Displays the asset’s subtype, if defined.
Graph: Click Speed Graph to open the Speed Graph pop-up window.

Max Speed: Displays the maximum speed during the path being reported. In the results table, click to display the location of the speed event on the map.
Max Speed Time: Displays the date and time the speeding event occurred.
Events: Displays the total count of Standard Logging points that were reported with a speed greater than the Minimum Speed.
Zone: Displays the name of the zone where this speed event occurred.
