The location report is your insight into the location of all assets associated with your account.
A benefit of this report is a visual map of all of your assets.
Use this report to track assets or to find an asset’s current or last phone home position on an interactive map. For specific help with the map and its features, see the Map Overview topic.
To access the Location report:
From the main menu, click Reports, then go to GPS Track & Trace and click Location.
Filters
| Asset No | Select up to five assets that will have their locations displayed on the map. Use this filter if the asset being searched for is specific |
| Zone Filter | When a specific zone is selected in this filter, only assets that are within that zone will be displayed on the map. |
| Options | The options menu allows further filtering to better refine the search. These options must be configured prior to clicking Generate Report.
Only Show Units with Power On: Will only show assets with a power state of “On.” Only Show Units with Power Off: Will only show assets with a power state of “Off.” Auto-Update every: This option will refresh the map based on the searched criteria. The default is 30 seconds, but this can be customized up to every ten minutes. Show Trails: When searching for specific assets with the “Last Location Controls,” this option will include the previous path of the asset for the specified duration. The default is the previous 30 minutes, but it is possible to change this to 60 or 120 minutes. If this option is grayed out, at least one specific asset must be selected in the “Last Location Controls.” Save Zoom Setting: This option will keep the map at the same zoom level upon refresh. This option is only available when at least one specific asset is selected in the “Last Location Controls.” Hide Pop-ups: When this option is selected, hovering over an asset’s icon on the map will no longer display the pop-up information window for that asset. Show Zone Name (Slower): This option will populate the “Zone” column in the Location Results. This may cause a delay in the return of the results. Show All: When this option is selected, the display count in the user’s settings will be ignored and all assets will be displayed on the map and in the Location Results. Cluster Assets: This option is on by default and when unchecked, will remain that way for individual users. Clustering of assets helps clean up the returned report and will display multiple assets in a single location as a circle with total asset count inside. With this option on, zooming in on the map will begin to show assets further apart. Note: Clustering does not occur on the two most zoomed in levels on the map. Show ZTrak Units: Selecting this option will include all of the assets equipped with a ZTrak device. |
| Attribute Filters | When a specific attribute filter is defined in Admin > Attributes > Attributes Filter this preset filter can be applied to the report through this drop-down. |
| Select Attributes | If a preset Attribute filter is not set and chosen in the Attribute Filters drop-down, specific attributes can be selected and the results will be filtered. This will need to be selected each time the report is run. |
| Generate Report | When all desired filters have been set, click Generate Report to display assets matching the filters. |
Results
After selecting the desired filters and clicking Generate Report, all assets that meet the specified criteria will be displayed on the map and listed in the Location Results list. The map will automatically zoom to a level that will ensure all returned assets are displayed.
| Asset Details | Hovering over an asset’s icon on the map will display the specific information in a pop-up. If the “Hide Pop-ups” option was checked prior to generating the report, this information will not appear. |
| Follow this asset | Click Follow this asset to keep the asset in the map field of view when the map refreshes. |
| Asset No. | There are three pieces of information in this column, all of which are clickable. Clicking on the info  icon will open a pop-up that contains all of the asset’s specific information. Clicking on the last location  icon or the asset’s number will center the map on that asset’s location. |
| Last Entry | This is the last date and time positional data was received from the asset. |
| Speed | If the asset is moving, its current speed will be displayed. |
| PWR | The last reported state of the asset’s power. |
| HDG | The last reported direction the asset was heading. |
| Zone | The zone that the asset was in the last time it reported its location. This column will be populated ONLY if the “Show Zone Name” option is checked prior to running the report. If this option is checked but a Zone is not listed, then the asset is not located inside a zone. |
| Address | The closest approximate address of the asset at the last reported location. This column will populate once “Get Addresses” at the top of the column is clicked. |
Once the results have been returned, clicking Export will allow for export into a CSV file with or without the addresses.
