ZFuel provides access to data and calculations that you can use to improve fuel efficiency as well as driver behavior. Use this information to guide drivers to save fuel and reduce costs by showing potential savings based on MPG, Fuel, Speed, Cruise, RPM, Gears, and Idle.
This report is not used for electric vehicles.
While ZFuel provides a comprehensive look into an asset and operator’s efficiency in relation to fuel consumption, ensure that the information is properly analyzed and used only as guide in training for efficiency.
What can drivers do to improve their score?
- Do not travel at speeds above the OverSpeed Max established for the asset they are operating.
- Not applicable to road grades -1% or steeper.
- Do not idle longer than the maximum duration set in the Idle Max established for the asset they are operating.
- Applies to Driver Efficiency score, not Operator Efficiency score.
- While in motion, keep engine RPM within the Min/Max RPM range established for the asset they are operating.
- Not applicable to road grades -1% or steeper.
- Engage cruise control when exceeding the CruiseMin speed for extended durations.
Each of these settings is controlled on a per-asset basis with the ZFuel Admin section of Ground Traffic Control.
Generate ZFuel Reports
The ZFuel report provides links to many different charts, tables, and diagrams representing fuel efficiency, driver status, and other similar statistics. To navigate back from these various views to the original search results table, do NOT use the browser’s Back function. Instead, in the top-left corner, click the Breadcrumbs; for example, click All Assets, or click the Asset number.
- To access the ZFuel report, on the min menu click Reports, and then under Fuel, Diagnostics, and Usage, select ZFuel.
- Click Filters, define the following criteria to narrow your search results, and then click Apply.
Asset No | Expand the drop-down menu and select the assigned asset ID for which you want to search or select all assets to return all applicable results. |
Location Filter | Expand the drop-down menu and select a location where the assets are assigned. |
