Drivers represent operators that can upload inspections, drive assets, or operate machinery. Before a driver can log in to a device and successfully upload to Ground Traffic Control servers, they must be entered in the database as a “Driver” from this page.
The Manage Drivers page allows the administration of driver information and real-time status within Ground Traffic Control. Association with driver cards, their PIN, and other related information can be configured in this area.
To access Manage Drivers, from the main menu click Manage, then go to Drivers and click Drivers.

Currently, a dispatcher can only have 50 drivers assigned to them. Only users with administration permission may adjust the dispatcher’s view. To other users, this drop-down will not be seen. |

Employee No. |
This column can contain any reference the administrator wishes to use, such as a company-based employee ID. |
EXSID |
(External System Identifier) This EXSID ID method is used as an alternative to the Tag ID identifier such as when a driver does not have a driver card. This is a less common way of identifying drivers. This field can be free-form and is designated by the administrator. |
CDL |
This column is optional but allows for the entry of the driver’s Commercial Driver License ID, when applicable. |

Status |
The status of a driver can be: Active: An active driver can upload inspections and log into their tablet. Revoked: A revoked driver cannot log into a tablet. Even though they can upload an inspection on a 2010® handheld, that inspection be classified as a failed inspection. Jailed: If a driver uploads an inspection with a 2010® handheld and uses a Tag ID that is not currently in Ground Traffic Control, that driver will be marked as “Jailed.” A driver may also be marked as “Jailed” if an unknown RFID was scanned on some ZPass™ units. |

U.S. 30 Minute Rest Break Exemption
This provision is available to all Property rulesets (Property 60/70), 16 Hour Exempt 60/70 and Construction 60/70 users. The 30 minute Rest Break Provision allows a driver to count ON duty waiting time towards their 30 minute rest break requirement. This ON-Duty counts towards the 60/70 hour and the 14 hour clock. When the 30 minute exemption is applied, an event is created stating that the "30-min break exemption was applied." This event is shown on the tablet in List view and Roadside View, and in Ground Traffic Control. When this exemption is applied, the 30-minute rest break clock should reset.
Short Haul 14-Hour Exemption
This exemption allows short haul drivers to have more time to return to their home base since they are spending less time driving than usual. The 14 hour exemption (instead of the usual 12 hours)applies only to 100 air-mile radius drivers (Short Haul).
