Overview
All driver managers in any company are responsible for effectively using their available drivers to maximize revenue. Using driver time inefficiently not only causes revenue loss for the company, but also affects driver payments, which results in driver churn. Being able to quickly see the number of hours a driver has available to drive in a day or work shift can greatly improve planning and work allocation for the fleet. Likewise, a driver not using their daily allotted drive hours is an indicator of driver satisfaction, fleet performance and their contribution to review. The Driver Availability insight lets driver managers see these details.
The Driver Availability insight lets driver managers do the following:
- Create a high level view of the Drive (D) hours available for drivers, and the hours driven at their division level.
- Filter and view just the D hours or D+ON hours.
- Drill into their division to review details of each driver.
The division level provides a comparison between drivers and also each driver's previous time period to provide powerful analysis. The driver level details provides D, ON+D and additional details to enable analysis and action.
Division Level
This level is displayed when the report is filtered by dispatcher. Division is functionally equivalent to Location.
- Location/Dispatcher: Click the switch to filter by either dispatcher or location, then click the dropdown to select a specific dispatcher or location.
- View by: Defaults to All Divisions, or if the location is filtered by location defaults to that location. Click to see all available divisions and select one if desired to access the driver level for that location.
- Divisions: Displays all divisions associated with the selected dispatcher, along with the total available hours for all drivers within that division. Click the name of the division to access the driver level for that location.
- Export (CSV): Click to generate a downloadable comma-separated value (CSV) file which can be opened in Excel or other spreadsheet software. This file will contain all drivers for the listed divisions, not the division level.
Driver Level
This level is displayed when the report is filtered by location through any of the available methods in the report.
The driver level displays individual driver availability within the selected division. The drivers are sorted by most available hours for the current day, but each column can be sorted by clicking on the header.
The same functions are available as in the Division Level.
