Zonar’s OBDII Y-Splitter (P/N - 81736) Cable provides a permanent connection point to mount Zonar’s V4 GPS units. This ensures Clear Truck Check compliance is maintained and opens an OBDII port to allow maintenance personnel to temporarily connect OBDII diagnostic shop tools.
Installation Steps

Identify the correct mounting adapter

Review the adapters provided and identify the correct mounting adapter for the installed vehicle.

Locate the OBDII Port
- OBDII port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
- Look near the steering column or beneath the fuse box area.

Connect the Splitter
- Remove the factory housing of the vehicle’s OBDII port.
- Verify the correct mounting adapter is used for the vehicle.
- Plug the male end J1 port of the OBDII Y-splitter into the vehicle’s OBDII port.
- Verify the connection is fully inserted and securely fastened.

Connect Your Device
- Take the female J3 port of the Y-splitter and install it into the male OBDII port of the V4's OBD Direct Cable.
- Use the provided metal fastening clip to ensure the adapter is secure and fully locked in.

Secure the Cables
- Use zip ties or cable clips to secure the splitter and connected TCU device.
- Avoid placing cables where they may interfere with driving or get damaged.

Power On and Test
- Power on the vehicle engine and confirm that the connected V4 device is receiving power and is functioning correctly.
