Driver ELD records can viewed by a User in the Admin portal by visiting the Log Books section towards the top of the left hand menu
This allows Users to review Driver records as needed. In addition, Proposed Edits can be sent to Drivers in the event a User feels a log book needs to be altered.
To begin, select the Driver and if needed, change the selected date. Records are held in the Admin portal for 6 months. The logs are shown one day at a time, the default being the current date. Click on the Calendar to change dates. To load, click Execute.
Header information such as Driver Name, Time Zone, Truck Tractor ID, etc… will be displayed across the top.
Next, the graph of activity will be displayed.
Below the graph the list of logged events will be shown.
Regular reviews of logs allows for potential inaccuracies to be identified and addressed. Users are able to send Drivers what are called Proposed Edits if they feel a mistake has been made. However, please be aware that Proposed Edits can only be placed for Certified logs. No edit requests can be made on a log the Driver has not yet certified.
These Proposed Edits are requests. The Driver will have to sign off on the change in order for it to take effect. Drivers are responsible for their own records and therefore the records can not be changed without their agreement. When the Proposed Edit has been sent the Driver will receive a notice on their app that they can then either accept or reject. The Driver’s choice cannot be overridden.
As stated above, Proposed Edits can only be placed for certified logs. Certified means that the Driver has signed off on that day’s records being correct and complete. To tell if a log is certified, look at the Certified column. If dates and times are not listed, the log is not Certified.
Another indicator of the log being uncertified is the lack of edit button on the right hand side, under the Actions column.
To input a Proposed Edit click on the edit button, which appears as a pencil icon.
On the resulting pop up, use the Status dropdown to select the new status.
If needed, adjust the Date and Time.
A Remark must be added to explain the proposed change before Saving.
After saving the Proposed Edit, the change does NOT actually take effect. This is a Request. As stated earlier, the Driver will have to sign off on the change from the app in order for it take effect.
*Note: Please be aware that Automatic Transition Driving events can only be edited via the Driver app, not the Administrative panel. Due to this restriction any edits of this nature must be entered by the Driver themselves. The Apollo ELD software does not permit that type of access.
To add an Event rather than edit an existing one, click the green Add Event button.
As before, a Status will need to be input along with the start time for the Event. Then fill in the Location for the event and the Remark to explain the addition.
Records are held in the Admin portal for six months. If desired, these records can be downloaded and sorted in private servers for longer term storage. There are two options to do so.
The Green Export Print-Display Logs will provide a quick download of the records currently displayed.
The Blue Export ELD Data File allows for a date range of records to be selected and downloaded.
