The Shipment feature connects drivers, motor carriers, brokers, shippers and receivers to share information in real time. Shippers and receivers can confirm exact time, bay number assigned to the driver, safe parking instructions and any additional notes. This information is shared (instantly) with drivers, allowing them to better plan their routes, rest times and minimize dock waiting times.
Shipments can be created in the Admin Portal, as well from the Driver App.
To create and send a Shipment to a Driver, click on the Green button in the upper right corner.
Next fill in the following information: Estimated Pickup Time (required), Estimated Delivery Time (Required), Shipper Name (name of company or entity shipping the goods), Shipment Number (the shipping document or BOL number), Commodity Being Shipped and the Driver to receive the shipment.
Shipment information can be shared with external organizations by entering the Pickup and/or Delivery information. Fill in the destination Email address for the shipper and/or receiver to share with them a link to this shipment.
Warehouse personnel can make updates (like estimated arrival time, bay assignment, recommended parking, etc.) which are sent in a matter of seconds to the driver via the application and updated on the Portal.
To view the Shipments sent to Drivers, select the Driver from the drop down menu along with the Start-End Date then press execute.
This allows you to view the Shipments that have been sent along with editing or deleting if needed and finding any shipments created by Drivers.
