Hour of Service Violations are a serious concern for motor vehicle carriers and expose the company to issues with the FMCSA. Violations should be avoided as much as necessary. The ELD will automatically record violations of the Hours of Service. Any violations that are logged can be viewed within the Violations section of the Admin portal.
Violations can be searched by Driver, Status and Date Range. Use the dropdown menus to fill in the desired information and press Execute to load.
When a violation has occurred the Driver name, Username, Home Base, Timestamp and Violation will be listed.
The only way to remove a violation from the system is to edit the logbook in question. No ‘delete’ button is provided.
Drivers will be able view their own violations from within the Driver app, however only for the previous two weeks.
