Tag Installation

With Tag Installation users can assign and modify asset tags in the EVIR Mobile app.

To use Tag Installation, users must have the Update asset tag permission enabled to their profile in Ground Traffic Control.

Assigning an Asset Tag

1. In the EVIR Mobile menu tap Tag Installation.
   
2. The populated asset list is sorted by Tagged and Untagged status.
   
3. Tap on a vehicle number to open its inspection details. 
   
   • Tagged Status: Displays the current tag status of the vehicle.
     • A yellow caution icon means the vehicle has not had an asset tag assigned.
     • A green checkmark means the vehicle has an assigned asset tag.
   • Zone Tags: Tap on any of the number icons to populate a Zone Tag assignments menu for the asset. Assignments are set in Ground Traffic Control's Inspection Builder.
   • Scan asset tag: Tap this button to begin the Tag Installation. On already tagged vehicles the button is labeled "Update asset tag".

Scan an Asset Tag

1. Tap Scan Asset Tag.
2. Follow the prompt and place your device close to the asset tag. 
   
3. An accepted scan triggers a success prompt.
   

4. On the results screen the tag number of the scanned tag is displayed.
    

   Any leading 0s on the Tag ID will be dropped from the scan results.

5. Tap Save to GTC to record the new asset tag.
6. Once complete EVIR Mobile will report that the Tag number has been saved to Ground Traffic Control.
   

Manually Enter an Asset Tag

1. Tap Scan Asset Tag.
2. The app prompts you to place your device close to the asset tag. If your device is unable to scan the asset tag tap Enter tag manually.
   

3. Tap the Tag number field and enter the tag number of the asset tag.

   Leading 0s on tag IDs cannot be entered. If you have a Tag ID with a leading 0 enter it starting with the first full number.

4. Tap Save to GTC to record the new asset tag.
   
5. Once complete EVIR Mobile will report that the Tag number has been saved to Ground Traffic Control.
