Overview
FaultIQ is a fleet health monitoring service. Zonar telematics control units (TCUs) report diagnostic codes and faults to FaultIQ, which interprets the codes and presents them in a readable and actionable format.

Zonar Data
FaultIQ uses Zonar-supplied data. As such, the information provided in FaultIQ should mirror information in Ground Traffic Control (for example, vehicle locations will be in similar positions).
FaultIQ updates its data on the following schedule:
- Faults: Updates once per minute.
- Asset location and sub-business assignment: Updates once per five (5) minutes.
Additionally, certain features may allow for more types of data than Zonar provides.
Indicator Lamps: Zonar data populates Check Engine, MIL/Warning, and Stop Engine lamps only.

Assets
Assets are fully managed and edited in Ground Traffic Control. Asset information is transferred automatically from Ground Traffic Control to FaultIQ approximately every five (5) minutes.
Asset information will only be transferred over if the following is true in Manage Assets.
- The Asset Type is set to Standard.
- The VIN is populated. Even if the ECU VIN field is populated, the VIN field must be filled out as well.
-
Maintenance Company: Noregon
Businesses (Asset Locations)
Asset locations assigned in Ground Traffic Control are transferred automatically to FaultIQ approximately every five (5) minutes. Locations are referred to in FaultIQ as "sub-businesses" and filtering these sub-businesses for individual users may be done within the Settings menu.
If assets are set to the Home or UNKNOWN location in Ground Traffic Control, they will be assigned to the main business in FaultIQ.
Adding Sub-Businesses to User
Sub-business access may be set up while creating a new user or when editing an existing user.
Sub-businesses are listed in the Business list under the user info. Click an individual sub-business to grant access to that business. If the user should have access to all sub-businesses, click the "All Business Groups" switch at the top of the list to grant access to all sub-businesses.
You may add multiple individual sub-businesses to a user.
Adding Sub-Businesses to Account
Sub-businesses are automatically added when the corresponding location is created in Ground Traffic Control and an asset is assigned to that location. Simply creating a new location in Ground Traffic Control will not cause a sub-business to be created. See Manage Locations for more information on creating locations and assigning assets.
Although Account Admins have access to Manage Businesses in FaultIQ, Zonar recommends that you manage via Ground Traffic Control, otherwise FaultIQ may no longer be synced with Ground Traffic Control.
