Behavior tracks how safely Drivers and Units are operating within a fleet. These safety events are known as Risk Factors. As Risk Factors are reported, the Behavior tab aggregates them into a score to reflect how safe that a vehicle or driver is operating.
Each reported Risk Factor assigns penalty points to a Driver or Unit. As penalty points are accrued the Behavior tab will update their icon color to reflect their Risk Status.
Risk Factors, the severity of their penalties, and risk level thresholds can be created and edited in the Manage tab.
Glossary
Filter : Used to adjust the results on the Behavior tab. Results can be adjusted by Unit or Driver, individuals or groups, date range, and reported Risk Factors.
Risk Factors: Risk Factors are calculated by dividing the total number of penalty points by the number of days in the selected date range.
The font color of the results in the Risk Factors column and the icon colors for Units and Drivers
are determined by the thresholds set in the Manage tab.
- Low Risk: Adjustable in the Manage tab, all Units or Drivers operating underneath the Low Risk threshold will display their icons and fonts with this color. This color is used to indicate that the Unit or Driver is operating at a low or acceptable risk level.
- Medium Risk: Adjustable in the Manage tab, all Units or Drivers operating above the Low Risk threshold but beneath the Medium Risk threshold will display their icons and fonts with this color. This color is used to indicate that the Unit or Driver is operating at a medium or elevated risk level.
- High Risk: Triggered when a Risk Factor is higher than the Medium Risk threshold or if the Risk Factor has exceeded 100 points. This color is used to indicate that the Driver or Unit is operating at an unsafe risk level.
ECU : Indicates that information listed was provided by the vehicle's ECU.
Export : Downloads listed data from the active tab in a CSV or PDF file format.
Using the Behavior Tab
The Behavior tab will list Vehicles and Drivers with a reported Risk Factor within the report's specified date range.
Under each column, the number of reported Risk Factors is listed. Based on the penalty score of those Risk Factors the aggregate score for the overall risk factor will list under the Risk Factors column. Risk Factors fall within the following categories:
- Aggression: Events when sudden changes in speed are detected.
- Driver Monitoring System (DMS): Camera events that occur facing inside the cabin. If the vehicle does not have a camera installed no Risk Factors will be reported.
- Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS): Camera events that occur facing the road. If the vehicle does not have a camera installed no Risk Factors will be reported.
- Vehicle Speed: Events where a vehicle is traveling faster than a manually set speed.
- Speeding Over Posted: Prolonged speeding over a posted Speed Limit.
