Installing a Camera
Coach Installer allows users to locate local cameras, pair cameras to vehicle profiles, and validate camera angles. The installation process is designed to ensure that vehicle pairing and camera visibility are accurate before regular use by drivers.
Find the Camera
From the Home Screen tap INSTALL CAMERA.
Tap the Camera IMEI field and use the keypad to enter the last four digits of camera's IMEI.
Camera must be powered on and have a network connection in order to be found.
Once an IMEI match has been identified, a green checkmark will appear in the Camera IMEI field.
Tap Done on the keypad and Coach will check if the camera has network connectivity.
When found, a green checkmark and Camera powered will populate under the Connectivity Info field.
Tap Next.
Select the Asset
Tap the Asset ID or VIN field.
Use the keypad to enter either the Asset ID or VIN of the vehicle the camera was installed in.
The Asset ID or VIN must be entered starting with the first character. For example, entering the last 4 digits of the VIN will not work.
Tap the asset profile when it populates under the Asset ID or VIN search bar.
The selection will populate VIN, Make and Model information associated with the asset's profile and the full camera IMEI will appear in the Camera Information field.
Tap Pair camera to vehicle to start the pairing process.
A green PAIRING SUCCESSFUL sign will appear when the camera has been assigned to the asset.
Tap Next.
Verify the Camera Alignment
Tap Check alignment to open a live feed of the camera.
The image should be centered on the area in front, with a slight amount of the vehicle hood appearing at the bottom of the frame.
